Wednesday, September 16

This morning, we went for a walk in Hyde Park, which is only one short block from our hotel.  I only walked 1/2 of the park, Jean Ann wanted to do the entire thing.  Hyde Park is a miniature version of Central Park in New York, right in the middle of the city, with statues, arches and monuments.

In the afternoon, we met Les down at the waterfront.  Sydney is a city built on water, so today we took TWO different ferries.  The first one was the Manley Ferry, about a half hour ride to the penninsula.  Manley is a cute, touristy type area with a huge white sand beach.  The weather was overcast and somewhat gloomy, but it was very enjoyable.

After our ferry ride back to the main Sydney Harbor, we decided to take a ferry to Darling Harbor to have dinner at one of the many harborside restaurants.  The ambiance was spectacular.
