Friday, September 18

This is my (Sparky’s) final day in Sydney.  It’s sad to leave, but Jean Ann has had me so busy, I need to go home to REST (lol)!!!  Seriously, Sydney deserves to be called one of the most beautiful cities on the planet.  Today, we did a Captain Cook cruise throughout the harbor.  What a beautiful, scenic and memorable adventure!

We went to Watson’s Bay.  We were there the other day with Les, but this was a different point of view.  No real shopping there, but a beautiful view of the Sydney skyline across the water.  After Watson’s Bay, we went back to Circular Quay (key) where we had fish n chips.  After doing some brief shopping, we went back to the hotel to pack for my flight back tomorrow.

Tonight, we are going to a great waterfront restaurant, then we’re off to the Sydney Opera House for a performance by Bangarra, an Aborignal dance troupe, who offer “Fire”, a native dance with wonderful ‘fire-like’ lighting effects and a retrospective of several successful seasons.

Well, we’re back from the performance and all I have to say is I now like ballet because it beats the hell out of that weird stuff Jean Ann just drug me to!  She liked it, but she also had lamb brains for dinner so what does that tell you!?!

I leave tomorrow (Saturday here) and Jean Ann’s mom, Dona Jantzen, arrives from Oklahoma on Sunday to spend two weeks with Jean Ann.  They will be in Sydney 3 nights, then fly to Melbourne.  Jean Ann will be adding posts for her upcoming adventures!!!

See you back in the States, Mates!!!
